Specialization Practice: Affective Factors-Describe research design and methods from scholarly research, including neuroscience.

Introduction
Continue the mindset that you are a professional in your discipline and you are continuing to work toward understanding a concern for a population. For this assignment, you’ll look at emotional factors that may occur for the population and apply theory to understanding those emotions.

Additionally, you will present research studies, their design, methods, and findings, and then apply the findings to understanding affective responses.

Finally, you consider ethical issues that may arise in addressing the concern, and search for relevant professional ethical principles and standards in working with the population to deal with the concern.

In your Week 7 assignment, you’ll bring the information you have gathered during this and your previous assignment to create a presentation for those who work in your discipline.

Assignment Instructions
For this assignment, continue with the problem or concern you addressed in your previous assignment in Week 3.

For this assignment address affective (emotional) factors.

Again, briefly describe the concern, population, and setting. Once you describe the setting, concern, and population, explain theories that can be applied to understanding and addressing emotional factors surrounding the concern. These may be learning theories, psychological theories, biological theories, or other theories. Apply the theories to create a better understanding of affective factors that may be relevant for the population in reference to the concern or problem.

Next, explore research on the subject. Search for scholarly articles that address emotional or affective factors related to the concern or problem. (You may want to use both terms—emotion and affect—when conducting your library or Google Scholar search).

Once you select the articles that are most relevant, describe the research design, methods of data collection, and the findings. Apply the findings to a better understanding of the population and concern. What was researched? What did the researchers find? How can it be applied to the population and concern you are addressing within your professional scope of practice?

Next, address ethics that may arise for professionals in your scope of practice when addressing or intervening in the concern. You may use the American Psychological Association’s code, or a professional code that is more specific to your discipline if you are not in a psychology program.
