Final Research Paper Requirements
Purpose.The purpose of the final research paper is select a topic of interest related to sport development, to provide a review of literature in thematic format of the research conducted on the research topic.
Requirements. The requirements for the paper include:
1. Write an APA formatted research paper on a self-selected topic associated with sport development.
2. The paper should include an introduction, body of information, and conclusion.
3. A minimum of 8 peer-review articles are required; course materials may be used (not included in the 8 peer-reviewed articles).
Format. The format requirements for final research paper include the following:
1. Formatted with 12 pt. font, 1” margins, and page numbers.
2. Use of APA formatted headings/subheadings.
3. Edited and checked for spelling.
4. Include an APA formatted title page.

Research Topic: The impact of motivation on athletic performance in collegiate athletes.
This is the introduction where you will provide a brief overview of the main components of the research topic – college athletes, motivation, athletic performance including an introduction to any performance indicators used to measure athletic performance.
[This should be organized as a funnel moving from a broad topic overview – to more specific (but still introductory) information about the topics].
Body of the paper will include topics (themes) associated with the components of the research topic – college athletes, motivation, athletic performance but in more detail and specifically referencing the research associated with each component of the research topic.
