Despite this, people tend to believe that the treatments are working. Why do you think people tend to be satisfied with the effectiveness of the treatments they receive?
The World Health Organization, UNESCO, Oxfam, and Amnesty International are global institutions concerned with trying to improve the human condition by working against structural violence, famine, epidemics, and human rights violations. Why do you think that an anthropological perspective on such worldwide problems might be of practical use?
