If your selected policy issue impacts health or nursing practice at the organizational or community-level, your testimony would be presented to an administrative body. For policy issues that impact health or nursing practice at a larger scale (i.e., state or national level), your testimony would be presented to a state or federal legislature. As you consider a policy issue to address, it may be helpful to reflect upon issues that impact your current or previous work environments; unique needs of the populations served in your practice; issues that shape the health, safety, and well-being of individuals, communities, and populations; or the variables that influence health outcomes and disparities.

Be sure that your selected issue is different from issues addressed in other course assignments. Cant not use topics such as (as they where previously used) The Health Care Affordability Act, Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, California’s nurse-patient ratio law named Assembly Bill (AB) 394.
